Description
The aim of this Masterclass, organized and financed by the Orbiscar ANR and the Geometry group at the Institut Elie Cartan de Lorraine, is to study modern techniques revolving around Scalar Curvature, notions of Masses and Potential Theory. It mainly targets PhD and second year Master students with general background in Riemannian geometry / Global analysis.
Courses will take place at the Nancy Science site of the Université de Lorraine, to the rythm of 2 to 3 sessions a day, together with some questions sessions. They will start on Monday afternoon and end on Friday at noon.
The Masterclass will start with a quick introduction session.
Speakers
Mini-courses:
Demetre Kazaras (Michigan State University, USA) : Scalar curvature, level set methods, and almost rigidity
Francesca Oronzio (Scuela Superiore Meridionale, Italie): Positive Mass Theorem and Related Topics through Potential Theory
From the Nancy station : one can take the Trolley line T1 at the stop Gare Pierre Sémard, direction Brabois Hôpitaux, et to get off at Callot. One can then reach the FST with a 5 min walk.
